VENTIL - the tool ... for the design and optimization of conventional and variable valve trains.The complex design of valve trains is one of the central problems of engine development. It includes tasks in the fields of kinetostatics, valve train dynamics, strength analysis and charge exchange. Current development tasks, especially in connection with lever actuators, variable valve train controls and cylinder deactivation, require efficient design tools that meet the different kinematics, the increased demands on accuracy, the applicability in heterogeneous hardware and software environments, but also the demand for powerful interfaces to neighboring program systems.
V-Engine
V-ENGINE calculation and design software for basic engine mechanics.
The V-ENGINE program system is a calculation software for fast and efficient design of the basic engine mechanics of internal combustion engines. The focus for the use of V-ENGINE lies in the early concept phase, since only a few basic parameters are required as input variables for the calculation tasks. This makes it possible to compare and evaluate different concepts in a simple and fast way. The calculations can be performed both via a graphical user interface and in batch mode.
